I loved the weekend I spent with my niece mainly because I saw just how much she loves books.
I would like to believe I passed it on to her. Together with Bianca. And Tita Pinky. And Tita Babeth. And… maybe everyone in the Lolarga clan. But still, I passed it on.
I almost went out of my mind when I saw the Hunger Games trailer! GAAAAAAH. I am so excited for this movie so they better not screw it up.
From the looks of it, Jennifer Lawrence seems to be a fitting Katniss Everdeen. The transformation in this clip is not as evident, but I’d love to be proven wrong.
Cannot wait for 2012!
So it’s6:30 in the evening and I’m still at work. I clearly recall spending at least 14 hours here yesterday. I hate it when that happens. It’s not that I don’t like showing dedication, but it’s mostly because I could have easily been doing something else. Working till the wee hours is not required of me but for some reason, lately, I’ve been doing what is not required of me.
Maybe it’s an escape. I’ve had too many things on my mind.
Sometimes, I feel like I’m always balancing everything. All the things I have to deal with, I have to maneuver just to keep my sanity. I’m not complaining; I know far more people have it much worse than me. But when I look at my things-on-my-mind, they all look so simple. They seem simple, uncomplicated. Yet, it still keeps me awake late at night and gives me startling mornings.
I need a real escape. Work just adds to the stuff I should not be over-thinking.

I have always known I love diamonds. I don’t necessarily prefer them over something else, but I’ve always known I’ll grow to like them. I think it’s the sparkle. Diamonds almost resemble stars. They’re always bright and gleaming.
Then there was this guy in one of the many movies I’ve seen that said his lady’s eyes sparkle like diamonds.
Then there was this professor in college who said clarity should come as clear as crystal. And the crystals he always refer to were diamonds.
Then there’s the song. And Marilyn Monroe.
But who would’ve though diamonds live in water? This amazing photo just made me realize not all diamonds have carats in them.
