I very rarely like covers. But this one is just perfect.
I remember the time when I was a fan of Linkin Park. Then they started to crawl under my skin and annoy me, prolly because they’re playing over and over in the radio. Then every Shia LeBouf movie needed a Linkin Park soundtrack. So yeah. For a moment, I was sick of them.
Then this.
See, Adele does a lot of good things. Her songs brings our the rawness and the prowess of the singer’s voice.
Do you still remember her? I was browsing YouTube last night (coz I realized it’s been a while since I last did that) and I ran into this video. And I remember the songs that Plumb used to sing.
So what would you say to me if you could talk to me
You could ask anything, I wouldn’t lie
But you’re okay with this, damaging awkwardness
So I’ll just play it safe And keep it inside
‘Cause boys don’t cry
I think it is no surprise to those who know me well just how much I love Adele. I don’t know anyone actually who doesn’t love her. Even Dylan, whose preference has always been strong country and rock male vocals, found her easily one of the most impressive voices he’s heard.
This is from her album 21. When I first heard this, I knew this will easily be a favorite.
But then again, did she ever have a song that cannot fit to the aches of the heart? Sheer genius.
This song never fails to get stuck in my head. It is always haunting, each time I hear it. It never stops chasing me. Especially the Skin and Bones version. I just love it.
And I wonder
When I sing along with you
If everything can ever feel this real forever
