If you travel — around the world, in Asia, in the Philippines, wherever, basically travel travel travel — please do me a solid, help me out and fill out my survey as part of my final marketing campaign for graduate school.   
I promise it will be quick, at most just five minutes of your time.

And just for kicks, I’ll throw in a reward too.  If I reach 500 responses on or before May 10, 2015 4:00PM GMT+08:00, I will raffle off a $20 Amazon Gift Card.  Just don’t forget to leave a note or comment on this post, so I can include your name in the raffle.

I know I raised the stakes with $20 and all (chuckle) but please let’s do our best to leave bogus respondents out of my research.  Data harvest clean = yay research cred. :)

For the love of poetry

I don’t know if any of you have noticed, but for the entire month of April, I featured a poem in celebration of National Poetry Month.  For those who liked each work of art, thank you very much.  Poetry is something that I feel very close to as it always seem to echo the sentiments of the soul.  And it echoes each time with me.

REVIEW: Attachments by Rainbow Rowell

Have you seen You’ve Got Mail?  Think about that movie, remove the bookshop wars, and reduce the interactions to more passive ones.  That would have to be Attachments.  Rainbow Rowell’s grown up novel is an amusing kick off to my reading week.  Honestly, she can write for any audience and the story would be seamless and flowing.

This has to be the first novel where I don’t know who the lead character is.  All I know is the male lead, Lincoln, has the same name  of my favorite couple’s first baby.  What a life Lincoln led.  You’d think it was plain and simple, but that’s the beauty of it all.  Oh and the lack of meet cute.

REVIEW: Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler

I was on a YA high when I decided to give this book another chance.  Although it hits a little too close to home, I have to admit Daniel Handler’s Why We Broke Up perfectly illustrates the overthinking and mild psychosis as each relationship ends, whether it was just a budding romance or dinner-party-planning-a-month-ahead kind of thing.

REVIEW: Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

I felt compelled to use the ampersand more than anything else, because Eleanor & Park, you know.

I haven’t been so struck by YA literature since I last read John Green’s Looking for Alaska, but Rainbow Rowell knew what she was writing about when she imagined a red-haired wonder and an Asian-Irish boy in high school.
