why i want to move out

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let our bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.

haagen dasz

my ultimately very first time to eat in a haagen dasz shop.  we had one in shangri la mall and it was delightfully heaven in a cup.  i mean, i know i usually say that, but the goodness of that ice cream is it stays with you, the flavor, the texture, the scent… and when you start craving for ice cream, you wouldn’t want anything else.  LOL.  talk about overrated expressions.

anyway, we went to ibm daksh today.  as expected (and modesty aside i guess), we got till the final interview only to find out that we will be out to that one account that we refuse to handle.  ugh, emotional flashback.  can’t go through that again, so we just told them we’ll keep them posted for our decision.  that company just lost two sites so they’ll be needing a lot of brave and fearful agents to handle that account.

we’ll have another job hunting episode next week.  can’t wait!  of course it drives the hell out of him but i like doing so with him.  it’s far more enjoyable than with anyone else. :)
