One Roxas Triangle

I’ve always been so intrigued by this building.  According to Wikipedia, it is the 15th tallest building in the Philippines.  Each time I see it at night, it stands there with its classic elegance, quietly boasting, never humble, as if rubbing in my face what I’ve been missing all this time.

And I often wonder what it’s like to live in a place as posh and luxurious as this one.  Maybe I’m just blowing it all off in massive disproportion in my head, maybe it’s not as good as I think it is.  But still it would be nice to find out for myself.

Oh and did I mention that One Roxas Triangle is right across my workplace?  I’d love to wake up at 7 in the morning, only to find out that even if I move at a snail’s pace, I’d still be early for work.

Ah, to dream big.

Aren’t we all?

Aren’t we all a little crazy on the inside?  Random musings, it’s late and still in the office.  I wonder if this will be the ending trend of 2011 or the beginning of 2012.

Secrets: The Blog That Changed My Life

Exaggerated?  Not really.  I mean it when I say PostSecret saved my life.

PostSecret was founded in 2005 by Frank Warren.  He encouraged everyone to send a postcard — stylized, of course — and reveal a secret that you have never ever ever ever spoken of before.  He uploads these postcards in his website, and soon enough, it has created an anonymous community of acceptance.

A few years after its launching, PostSecret teamed up with 1-800-suicide to help out the anonymous cries for help he usually receives in the mail.

I love this site.  I completely, absolutely, love everything about this site.  I also downloaded the app, and although there are quite a few non-secrets revealed there, I still love it.

This site made me feel that I am never alone in whatever I am going through.  More than a couple of times, I have been able to relate to some of the secrets revealed there.  The sharing is therapeutic; it’s almost like a breath of fresh air, just letting it out.  I love this site for the fresh air.

Head over there and I guarantee, if you just let yourself feel and open up for a while, you’ll feel exactly like this.

What about you?  What blog changed your life?

Pompom Crazy!

It bothered me so much that we still didn’t have Christmas decor in the office and it’s almost Christmas!  Although we don’t really celebrate it, I find relief in preparing the tiny things for it.  Work can be pretty stressful sometimes (especially when there are too many unnecessary papers around), so I hauled James and AB to make some Christmas stuff.

I assigned myself to making pompoms!  I got such a kick during Chuchi’s birthday, so I decided we should have a hanging Christmas tree made out of pompoms!  And I managed to make them so big, it’s fantastic!!!

It will most like look something like this, only hanging.

I have a feeling it looks better hanging.  Hahahahaha.  Maybe I should make four more for the base?  Just so it actually looks like a flower tree and not just a triangle of pompoms.  Either way, I think they look festive already!

More to come tomorrow. :)

Harry Potter Deleted Scene

So far, this is my favorite deleted scene.  This is from Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows 2.
