I love earrings!

I was just browsing at Forever21 Makati the other day and I noticed that the accessories station was at 30% off.  I couldn’t resist.  It took me about an hour to pick out my goods.

I really went crazy for it.  Hahahaha.  I couldn’t resist it.  Most items were just around P305!  I know!!!

This necklace immediately caught my attention.  I just love that it’s so simple and so chic at the same time.  Accented with a gold plate, this would easily fit in any plain dull corporate wardrobe.

I’ve been dying to get wings for accessories.  I think I gravitated to this one more than the rest.  When I got home and tried it on (you’re no longer allowed to try on earrings in the store for hygienic purposes), it makes a little fluttering noise.  I loooooove this piece.  My head is now thinking of ways to wear this to work.

I got these two because they’re just catchy.  Not to mention, cheap.  My niece and nephews would be very entertained with these.

This is just so chic!  I love this to pieces.  The first time I saw it, I just grabbed it!  Very dagger like, yes? :)

It’s almost odd to not get a “sulit” pack from Forever21.  Hahahaha.  I love this ensemble because of the choices you have.  You can mix and match it with your clothes or your mood, if not both.

This young lady’s pair is just too adorable for words.  This would be the perfect accessory to my next date with You-Know-Who.  :)  As if there’s any other.

So yeah.  That’s 7 accessories and my total bill is roughly P1,200.  I think it’s money well spent. :)

Batangas 2011

The last time we went to Batangas was the first time I took Dylan.  They made him plant a tree.  Hahahahaha.  I loved that time.

Unfortunately, due to domestic responsibilities, he wasn’t able to go this year.  I wasn’t feeling the visit too, so I packed a good deal of reading with me.  I think I read the entire day.  I felt a bit bad for not participating, but I wasn’t in the mood to be all environmental.  I did love the food though.

I just love the books I brought with me.  I highly recommend The Perks of Being A Wallflower.  Review to follow.  :)

And here are the things I experienced in Batangas this year. Continue reading

Welcome To McArthur Park

So for a moment there, it sounded like a line right off the karaoke machine.  Hahaha.

Anyway, I was again on a trip for our department’s roadshow.  We headed for Tacloban a week ago, and AB and I were the first team to get there.  The first place we hit was McArthur’s Landing, or otherwise known as McArthur Park.  It’s basically the place where McArthur came back during the World War II.

The first thing I noticed was the sky.  Already I noticed it as we started to descend.

Can you honestly say that we have skies this blue in the city?  Little by little, it sinks in why people love to retire in the province.

So ladies and gentlemen, welcome to McArthur Park.  *insert possible theme song here*

See they really transformed it into a park.  Those benches at the far right had a pretty good view.  Just before I took this photo, a family was wrapping up their lunch picnic.

I envy places like these.  It’s a complete getaway from the hurried life of the city, of work!  Some say we can easily convert Luneta Park into something like this.  But I don’t know.  A lot of effort already went into cleaning that place up, but the people seem to find it so hard to just be aware of keeping the place clean and presentable to tourists and residents alike.  Oh well.

I would give anything to have this view everyday.

Next post:  The San Juanico Bridge! :)

Dante Barona FTW!

For the past few days, I was in Tacloban with our marketing crew for another RMC visit.  San Juanico Bridge is such a wonder and it was just right there.  Kuya Joel made sure that we get a picture at the spot where Dante Barona jumped off as a stunt a few decades ago! :)

That’s me with AB, my right hand and left leg.  Yes, I cannot function without her.  Hahahahaha.

More photos coming soon!

Taken from Nueva Vizcaya

Last week, we did a marketing blitz and product orientation run in our Ilagan branch.  Actually, we’ll be doing a lot of runs till the end of the month.

For those who have not traveled by land to Isabela, it’s about 10 hours away from Manila.  That’s not even an exaggeration.  We left early, like 4 in the morning early, and still arrived after lunch, 2:30 to be exact.

Anyway, in the middle of the long and winding road, I woke up to find that we’re in Nueva Vizcaya.  I looked out the window and saw this:

I think I should explore the countryside more.  I keep forgetting how beautiful it is.  A fleeting moment, and I was fortunate to capture it as still as this.
