Unwinding

It’s raining cats and dogs here in Cebu, and while I wait for my next client call, I strutted my stuff over to Pinterest.  It’s probably my major source of quick relief, so when the office blocked the website from our computers, I have to admit I died a little bit inside.

We could all use an escape nowadays.

I just love reading nooks.  That’s probably because I never really had one when I was younger.  Looking at reading nooks make me realize so many stories missed during my childhood, only because I didn’t have a silent space to think about things.  I fell in love with a lot of reading nooks a while back, but this is the latest one:

And maybe I would have avoided wearing these glasses had I thought of better lighting for my bed.  I will definitely find a way to squeeze something like this in my dream home.

I don’t know.  I’ve always thought I will go for a minimalist feel, but judging the pins I’ve been liking for the past 15 minutes, I guess home to me looks rustic.  Who wouldn’t love this office space?  It’s just so dreamy.

Enough dreaming for now.  I can hear the driver honking.  I hope he brought an umbrella this time.

Iron Man 3: A reason why 2012 is not the end of the world

I know that’s an exaggeration, but have you seen the Iron Man 3 trailer?  It was released yesterday and already raking up 3 million views on YouTube alone.

This has to be the best comeback ever.  Then again it’s Robert Downey Jr.  Do you still remember his Ally McBeal days?  I clearly recall the episode where he sang Every Breath You Take and really, that just completely did it for me.

So I guess Robert Downey Jr. is living proof that rock bottom is the best reset a man can ever get.

Him and J. K. Rowling of course. :)

And that magical quote:

So I guess it’s too early to give up now right? :)

Long week

It’s been a pretty long week and mainly, my frustrations stem from the fact that everything is shifting to high priority.

By everything, I mean everything.  Work, Dylan, school, family — every bit is calling my attention and I can no longer turn a deaf ear.

Actually, I can.  HAHAHA.  It’s a skill, the refined art of procrastination.  I’ll give you tips some other time.

But really, I’ll have to prepare for my upcoming midterms so for now, I’m leaving you with a song.  It’s been playing over and over in my head for so many days now, and I want to kick my ass for not having this on my playlist.

And he told me that I’d done alright
And kissed me till the morning light, the morning light
And he kissed me till the morning light

Kamikazee + Kyla = ZOMGAWESOME

I spend most of my time in the Makati apartment, so the very few days I am here in Las Piñas, I make sure I hangout with the boys.  I know they can be pretty annoyed that my ever expanding hips and thighs constantly occupy their bed space, but what can they do?  They can’t move me anyway.  ;p

This evening, my brother Ted introduced me to this new song, a collaboration between Kamikazee and Kyla, both Filipino brilliant artists.  Look them up, and you won’t be disappointed.

So for those people who say OPM is dead, I don’t think so.  To be honest, I’ve never heard Kyla sound this good.  Actually, to be more honest, I didn’t think Jay Contreras can floor her.

Amazing stuff.  Hangout with your sibs.  You never know the next thing they teach you.

If you’re not blown away, I don’t know what else to tell ya. :)

Those words.

Now that I have fully expressed my dismay for the loss of my wallet (sigh), I am ready to be wooed.

Don’t get me wrong; it’s not like a lack romance in my life.  After all these years, Dylan has managed to surprise me and it still puzzles me how he manages to do it when there’s so much more to do.

And though he’s not really the most eloquent of writers, he knows how to blow me away.

I think he took this to heart:

A 1989 movie quote is still acceptable today.

So guys, man up.  Laziness will not do.
