Falling in love with Lennon and Maisy

It was a pretty rough day at work when a coworker suggested that I peek into the adorkable world of Lennon and Maisy.  If you haven’t seen their video below, you should click play now:

They’re so cute!  It absolutely prompted me to look into more of their work, and what blew my mind were their ages:  Lennon is 12, and Maisy, 8.

I rapidly viewed all of their videos and though this rendition of Jason Mraz’s I Won’t Give Up is already a perfect accompaniment to an onsite wedding video:

It was Maisy’s growling rendition of Missy Higgins’ Secret that sent chills up and down my spine.

Who wouldn’t fall in love with these two?!  They even made a thank you video!  Look out for the second “we”!

They’re going to guest star on a TV show called Nashville.  I don’t really watch that one, but I think I will have to download that particular episode just to see these two.

Subscribe to their YouTube channel here, follow them on Twitter, and like their Facebook page.

Yeah yeah, I did all three.  Hahahah.

All photos from the Lennon and Maisy Stella Facebook Page.

Kitchen and dancing

Adah and I danced to this as I prepare dinner with her watch her cook my our dinner.

Tell me that did not get you dancing and I will call you a LIAR!!!

But if you want a more mellow version, here’s something that you can easily fall in love with.

But then I’m sure this meant to us more than it did/will to you. :)

Get dancing!

Covers

If you know me well enough, I don’t really appreciate covers.  There was a time here in the Philippines when people became platinum artists just by singing a cover of someone else’s song.  I think it just lacks originality, and they’re mooching off the originals.

But yeah, I can’t deny that this caught my attention.  It’s a good rendition!

Another thing that I won’t deny is regretting not buying Maroon 5 concert tickets sooner.  I don’t know why I procrastinated!  I’m the woman in the relationship; I should be handling this!  Hahahaha.

The last couple of long weekends got me reminiscing through YouTube and although this isn’t really a good classic song, it’s very catchy and upbeat.

And it got stuck in my head.

Sungha Jung never fails to give justice to a song.

Do not lie to me.  Tell me you sang to that too!

Her Highness Sings

Here’s another music post, this time dedicated to Dylan.  Yiheeeee. :”>

I honestly think this is one of THE best female vocal performances ever.  I was sitting at home, waiting for Dylan’s text then (this was 2007), and then the Grammy’s came on.  Of course, I wouldn’t pass the chance to watch it!

And then Mary J. Blige sang.  OH MY GOD.  It’s just friggin’ fantastic!

Plus she looks sooo regal in this outfit.

Prepare to be blown away.

That was me singing with her.

*ending gush now*

Major LSS: Up Dharma Down – Tadhana

This band is the band that brought us together.  About six years ago, we were listening to one of their best songs (if not the best), and I caught him listening as I was singing the part that I meant:

Malas mo, ikaw ang natipuhan ko.

After all this time, it’s still Armi and her men that tickled our hearts with the simplest of songs.

Wag mong ikatakot ang bulong ng damdamin mo
Naririto ako’t nakikinig sa’yo.

The two songs we are so mad about in one performance at that fateful night in Route 196 over a year ago.

*sigh*
