MUSIC MONDAY: Stay With Me by P!nk

I haven’t done Music Monday for quite some time now. Now that I have a big load of preoccupation, I have to admit some things have been shoved to the back. But on a quiet afternoon like this weekend, I chanced upon P!nk’s cover.

Pink - Stay With Me

The main thing that attracts me to her music is that her voice is as powerful as her message. Believe me, I love that Sam Smith came out with this song. The melancholy, the blues, it’s all there. I absolutely adore this song. And then P!nk sang it, and I adore it even more.

Admittedly, I teared up when I was listening to it. The sadness in her voice and that strain as if there’s real pain in there…. my oh my. Perfect cover. Perfect P!nk.

Pink belts it out

This song has been haunting me for the past few months. I wonder if the people who know my story think that I tried enough, that I did enough.

There are still days when I feel like I didn’t. Those who know me best, here and abroad, insist that I did everything I could possibly do and more.

I just have to keep telling myself that.

Every day is a long one. The good part? Every day is a new one.

Sugar, spice and everything nice

As a girl, it is kind of weird to admit that I have never really grown fond of pink.  Even if some close friends would argue (because my senior prom dress is pink which I chose at that time because my date likes girls in pink), I will always find it hard to pick up a pink item and buy it with my own money.  But it still goes to say that I like a particular hue of that unusually unwanted shade of mine.  When worn with a particular softness and a touch of taupe/beige/tan, it easily becomes the most romantic color and piece a girl will ever own.

And for that reason alone, I think I just might go out and get me some soft pinks.

And by that, I mean it can range from tops and bottoms to shoes and simple frills.

Haven’t shopped for the last three weeks.  No wonder I’ve been sick.

These stylish women all came from Chictopia. :)
