Pink belts it out

This song has been haunting me for the past few months. I wonder if the people who know my story think that I tried enough, that I did enough.

There are still days when I feel like I didn’t. Those who know me best, here and abroad, insist that I did everything I could possibly do and more.

I just have to keep telling myself that.

Every day is a long one. The good part? Every day is a new one.

Iron Man 3: A reason why 2012 is not the end of the world

I know that’s an exaggeration, but have you seen the Iron Man 3 trailer?  It was released yesterday and already raking up 3 million views on YouTube alone.

This has to be the best comeback ever.  Then again it’s Robert Downey Jr.  Do you still remember his Ally McBeal days?  I clearly recall the episode where he sang Every Breath You Take and really, that just completely did it for me.

So I guess Robert Downey Jr. is living proof that rock bottom is the best reset a man can ever get.

Him and J. K. Rowling of course. :)

And that magical quote:

So I guess it’s too early to give up now right? :)

Kamikazee + Kyla = ZOMGAWESOME

I spend most of my time in the Makati apartment, so the very few days I am here in Las Piñas, I make sure I hangout with the boys.  I know they can be pretty annoyed that my ever expanding hips and thighs constantly occupy their bed space, but what can they do?  They can’t move me anyway.  ;p

This evening, my brother Ted introduced me to this new song, a collaboration between Kamikazee and Kyla, both Filipino brilliant artists.  Look them up, and you won’t be disappointed.

So for those people who say OPM is dead, I don’t think so.  To be honest, I’ve never heard Kyla sound this good.  Actually, to be more honest, I didn’t think Jay Contreras can floor her.

Amazing stuff.  Hangout with your sibs.  You never know the next thing they teach you.

If you’re not blown away, I don’t know what else to tell ya. :)

Falling in love with Lennon and Maisy

It was a pretty rough day at work when a coworker suggested that I peek into the adorkable world of Lennon and Maisy.  If you haven’t seen their video below, you should click play now:

They’re so cute!  It absolutely prompted me to look into more of their work, and what blew my mind were their ages:  Lennon is 12, and Maisy, 8.

I rapidly viewed all of their videos and though this rendition of Jason Mraz’s I Won’t Give Up is already a perfect accompaniment to an onsite wedding video:

It was Maisy’s growling rendition of Missy Higgins’ Secret that sent chills up and down my spine.

Who wouldn’t fall in love with these two?!  They even made a thank you video!  Look out for the second “we”!

They’re going to guest star on a TV show called Nashville.  I don’t really watch that one, but I think I will have to download that particular episode just to see these two.

Subscribe to their YouTube channel here, follow them on Twitter, and like their Facebook page.

Yeah yeah, I did all three.  Hahahah.

Covers

If you know me well enough, I don’t really appreciate covers.  There was a time here in the Philippines when people became platinum artists just by singing a cover of someone else’s song.  I think it just lacks originality, and they’re mooching off the originals.

But yeah, I can’t deny that this caught my attention.  It’s a good rendition!

Another thing that I won’t deny is regretting not buying Maroon 5 concert tickets sooner.  I don’t know why I procrastinated!  I’m the woman in the relationship; I should be handling this!  Hahahaha.

The last couple of long weekends got me reminiscing through YouTube and although this isn’t really a good classic song, it’s very catchy and upbeat.

And it got stuck in my head.

Sungha Jung never fails to give justice to a song.

Do not lie to me.  Tell me you sang to that too!
