Day 1: Self-portrait

This photo is taken right after my after work run of 5k.  It’s not really much.  I think in my head, if I keep this up, plus healthy diet, the day 30 self-portrait would show a healthier looking me.

I love that running brings out a blush I did not think I have.  After all, I am morena.  I love the feeling of sweating while running, almost like a natural shower.  I have never imagined myself being able to run distances (jog maybe, but never distances), so each time I complete a route, I just want to give myself a good pat on the back.  My sweaty sweaty back.

Maybe you should start doing something for your physical health too.  After all, no one ever really drowned in sweat.  :)

Hey June!

Because of the serious nature of my previous post, please excuse my sudden tirade.  Hahahaha.  Affected much.

Anyway, for those of you who follow my Internet activities, you would know that I am addicted to Pinterest.  This virtual mood board has managed to snap me out of my bad mood and unproductive work hours.  I am so thankful for my cousin Marga for stumbling into this.  And if in case, you would want an invite, just leave your email address in the comments below and I’ll send them your way.

To revamp this fantastic month (hahaha), I’ve decided to do the photo challenge.  It’s basically taking photos according to the list below:

Let’s admit it:  at one point or another, we are tired of work.  We are pushing ourselves on a daily basis so let’s inject some fun in this month now, shall we?  After all, it is midyear.  Maybe we can start it with a bang. :)

So do this with me okay?  One of you already is. :)

My 2011 Resolutions

I am happy to report that I have accomplished most of my 2010 resolutions.  Those I accomplished (most of the time) were:

  1. Always wear matching underwear.
  2. Create and maintain a savings account.
  3. Pay communication bills on time all the time.
  4. Run more.

Yeah, that’s pretty much all I’ve accomplished out of the 10 items on my list.  And since I seem to have five as a comfortable number, I stuck to five resolutions this year.

And I made sure my resolutions are written in a very encouraging manner.  I know.  Silly.

Continue saving. You’re doing a great job right now; you just have to keep it up.  Keep in mind you’re saving up for something big, could be a car, a house, or something else.  Basta, it’s big.

Relearn photography. It won’t take you six months.  Devote time for your favorite hobby because this can be your most effective avenue for self-expression.  Preserve the artsy fartsy.

Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Utilize your gym membership?  Make your trainers reside in the office and grab another pair or running during the weekends.  Better, join Dylan occasionally for boxing.

Do your best to meet deadlines. You have big shoes to fill, especially because this year will kick off an entirely new business for the bank.  Deadlines dictate accountability.  So be more accountable.

Pray more often. ‘Nuff said right there.

However, I do have to admit I have a pretty long to do list.  Not sharing that one as it includes incredulous items.  I am not about to reveal my insanity here.

I smell like chocolate.  I spent the afternoon baking cookies and brownies.  Hmmm.  I better start cleaning those baking sheets.  :)

Happy new year everyone.  :)  Photos to come later.

Here’s the challenge. Are you ready?

A few days ago, a friend of mine presented a challenge.  To be frank, I really did try to comply, but I missed Day 3 last night.  I realized, I won’t be able to do it, until I announce it and make it official.

So here’s the challenge posed by a really good friend:

Do you think I can do it?  I’m starting to doubt it, but hey.  I’m up for the challenge.

I just restarted and made visible that site counter on the upper right corner of this blog.  To make this blog more interactive and more fun to visit, wait for 10,000 hit.  Better yet, make it reach 10,000 and see what I have in store for you. :)

So there.  Here I go.  The 30-day blogging challenge starts now. :)
