Why I hate drivers some times

Oh wow.  I can’t even believe I’ll say this, but there are just definite reasons why I hate drivers in the Philippines.  Mostly it’s because Filipino drivers often forget that they were once pedestrians.

Given that we do jaywalk and we do cross even when the red light has not changed.  And that we do ignore that SM Mall Of Asia guard who tries desperately to direct commuter traffic.  But still you have to admit, we are only given that much space in that wide a road to cross.

So you can only imagine how annoying this is.

Hoy Mister Kupal Driver!

Before you got your car using that amazing car loan plan you have with your amazing company from that amazing car dealership so you can take a ride with your amazing family and live your amazing life, YOU USED TO WALK AND COMMUTE EVERYWHERE.  So pwede ba, can you not be such a dick and occupy the one spot in the wide road where we can demand responsibility from drivers as douchey as you?  Because it is instances like this, instances when the SIMPLEST OF COURTESIES AND RULES ARE NOT FOLLOWED, that turn Philippines in a not so fun place.  Just a thought.

Kthxbye.

MAC NC40

It still surprises me how I just went to the store and bought this thing for more than what I expected.

One of my resolutions for the year is to be more prudent and more conscientious when it comes to my spending .  Unfortunately, I came to the point where my skin is starting to breakout and my current pressed powder is no longer giving me the coverage that I need.  So I had no choice.  If I plan to age gracefully, I might as well invest on the items — and the people who made them that actually know better than I do, which is why they lasted this long in this industry — that will take me there.

MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation NC40.  I really like this product, mainly because it is practically day-long wear.  Plus, it makes my face look clearer and nicer.

I used to just buy MAC from trusted eBay sellers and some friends who travel overseas and have some time to spare a trip to the nearest MAC store.  So when I bought this in Rustan’s this week, I was very much surprised at the 30%++ top up from published online rates.

Oh well.  The price of vanity.  I must find my online sellers again.  I can’t keep spending this way.  Hahaha.

To be dressed by Jason Wu

So for this coming year, I aim to be more chic in my office wear.  In the past year, I have been slacking off.  Really.  The fact that I’ve been dormant in Chictopia is already bothersome.  So yeah.

Just as the subject states, I wish to be dressed by Jason Wu.  I think mostly because his styling and clothing are effortlessly chic.  I just love it.

Should I manage to pull a look like this, I am definitely sure I won’t be able to control my swagger.  Hahahah.  Everything with a structured coat is sleek and fashionable.  Pair with the right eyewear, I can be the cool cat. :)

I don’t usually fancy pink, but I’ve always had a soft spot for peplum cuts.  With the pounds I’ve gained, my hips finally had that pretty round figure.  Although the rest of my body needs far more tweaking, emphasizing that area is not a bad thing.  At least in my eyes.

Sheer bow top, sleek pants, peeptoes.  Amazing.  I believe this would make me look soooo pogi.  Hahahaha.

And when I finally lose those MAP pounds, and regain my tiny waist (or gain a really nice curvy one) and lose that muffin top, I believe I will celebrate in this outfit.

Fitter 2012 it is then!  For the sake of Wu. :)

Hair talk

I know months ago I ranted about my hair not growing fast enough so I can do an awesome hair flip (and some funky hairstyles).

I so badly want long hair, but I have to do something before I get there right?  I mean, for years now, I’ve always cut my hair at the beginning of the year.  (I could show you but I’m still sick and I’m too lazy to get up and look for my hard drive and hook it up here and… you know the story).

Lately, I’ve been contemplating bangs.

Yep, the full fringe effect.  However the downside is Dylan doesn’t like bangs.  He finds them purposeless even though I’ve repeatedly told him it frames the face most of the time.  The full fringe might just make me feel like a rockstar (not that I am not hahahahaha).  But after a quick survey among friends, they don’t think it’s for me.  Moks, on the other hand, has been insisting on an Amanda Seyfried look.

Problem is I’m not feeling it.  I did a quick scan in the Internet and I pretty much have the same face shape as Michelle Williams, with the cheeks and the meaty chin and all.

So I thought, let’s do a Dawson’s Creek throwback!

But then I HAVE ALWAYS HAD THAT HAIRCUT!  I just want my hair to be long already.  This awkward phase is just bothering me.

Maybe I should just pull an Olivia Palermo.  Length, color and volume. What do you think?

One Roxas Triangle

I’ve always been so intrigued by this building.  According to Wikipedia, it is the 15th tallest building in the Philippines.  Each time I see it at night, it stands there with its classic elegance, quietly boasting, never humble, as if rubbing in my face what I’ve been missing all this time.

And I often wonder what it’s like to live in a place as posh and luxurious as this one.  Maybe I’m just blowing it all off in massive disproportion in my head, maybe it’s not as good as I think it is.  But still it would be nice to find out for myself.

Oh and did I mention that One Roxas Triangle is right across my workplace?  I’d love to wake up at 7 in the morning, only to find out that even if I move at a snail’s pace, I’d still be early for work.

Ah, to dream big.
