Another TV Blunder

Early this morning, Unang Hirit was boasting GMA 7’s wins at the Catholic Mass Media Awards, an annual award show dedicated to recognizing news and current affairs programs.

Apparently, GMA 7 bagged a lot of wins, and I know this because Unang Hirit was showing in the bus.

They also said that it was the first time a regional program won.  And the representative didn’t hesitate to highlight that:

“Ilang taon na rin naming ineenter yung entry namin… [so it’s nice to win this time]

Of course I forgot the rest of her babble, mainly because her attempts to enter their entries got stuck in my head.  Hahahahaha.

Hahahahhaaaaay Pinoy. :)

Pinoy Celebrity Goofs

Now, I don’t think I’ve been around long enough to have enough documented proof of Pinoy celebrity goofs, but I do have a handful of them.

Each one more hilarious than the first.

Something about the erring factor of these high-profile personalities really tickles my funny bone.  Hahaha.  I know that sounds mean, but I have my finals on Monday, and I need distraction to at least keep me sane.  I do after all stress out a lot when it comes to these things.

Your favorite moment captured

A lot of times, I regret not taking enough pictures.  Even though I have tons of albums in Multiply and Facebook, I still feel that I haven’t captured enough moments.  At the same time, I feel bad each time I try to pause a moment just to take a picture.

I guess that’s why I love television.  And photo galleries.  And photojournalists.  And portraits.  And paintings.  They manage to recreate that fleeting second between an argument and a breathless kiss.  Photojournalists capture human emotion with such accuracy and delicate precision, and the emotion never gets lost, in pictures or in translation.

I’d give a lot to have that ability.  I’d give a whole lot to learn that skill.  There are so many beautiful things that fly by our noses and they are all beautifully disarming and we never frame it.  We take a mental picture and as time passes, we forget it.  It would be nice to have a reminder hanging on your wall.

Ross and Rachel’s first kiss is worth playing over and over.
