MUSIC MONDAY: Budapest

Okay, I know this is not a new song, but it hasn’t been long since I first heard it.

I remember it clearly, too.  I decided to start taking this health thing seriously so for the past couple of weeks, I took extra strides to sleep early, wake up early, and workout.  I’ve been packing lunch too, but that’s for a completely different post.  Ever since I’ve made that change, I have to admit the hours at the office don’t seem that long anymore.

And get this:  I’ve also cut down my coffee consumption.  I KNOW RIGHT.  I really didn’t think it was possible, but I am now down to max of 20 ounces per day.  It’s still a lot for most, but for me, that’s already half of what I usually drink.

Anyway, back to the song.  I just finished doing my morning routine, Spotify playing in the background, and then this song came on:

My many artifacts
The list goes on
If you just say the words
I, I’ll up and run

Oh, to you
Ooh, you
Ooh, I’d leave it all

It didn’t really sink in at first, but I am about to leave it all.  It almost seemed poetic but it’s more literal, this song.  Perhaps the only treasure I am most definitely sure of bringing with me are my books, but that’s about it.  I can leave everything behind, and run to you.

Leave it all.

For you.

I think I have the wedding giggles.

George Ezra - Budapest

Have a great day, loves. <3

LISTEN: Kiesza’s Hozier

When Hozier performed this song at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, I knew I loved the song.  For a while, it was quite stuck in my head and it bothered Le Beau quite a lot especially I never bothered to look up the lyrics.

Then there’s Kiesza’s What Is Love.  That voice is truly divine.

So imagine my joy when the two collided.

Ah, eargasm. <3

No more room for TWD

Le Beau is absolutely in love with this show.  For me, though, when I heard zombie apocalypse, I just never ever ever steered anywhere near it.  Until he convinced me to.

Let me give you a quick background about me and TV shows:  I invest in them, they invest in me.  Whenever I pick a TV show to watch, I get involved.  I collect quotes, go to fan fiction sites, read up reviews, offer theories, suggest new storylines.  Yup.  I invest in them as they invest in me.  And being a Grey’s Anatomy fan, you can only imagine how emotionally drained I am by now.  You don’t get to 11 seasons without deaths and lowests of lows here and there.

And then The Walking Dead.  Oh dear Lord how I wish it was just about zombies.  More and more people are complaining that it’s becoming too dramatic, and I have to agree to that.  It just went from scary to gross, the effects I mean.

But…. I love drama.  And compelling dialogue.  And those facial reactions that speaks soliloquies.  Then, just like in Shondaland, AMC kills them off one by one.

(Of course, I looked up the comics.  Of course I know who’s next.  Of course I am utterly destroyed.  I love that character.)

So before I immerse (yet again) in predictions as to how they will play out the second half of this season, have fun with these quotables.  I know I did.

The Walking Dead - Beth

The Walking Dead - Glen Hershel

The Walking Dead - Michonne

The Walking Dead - Andrea

The Walking Dead - Rick

The Walking Dead - Lori

The Walking Dead - Carol

The Walking Dead - Daryl

I would like to thank the beautiful world of Tumblr and Pinterest for being my resources.

Are you invested in this show too?

Where next?

This year is a jam-packed year to say the least.  With so many work projects running in parallel and a masters degree waiting to be had, I’ve decided to throw in the mix wedding planning and an out-of-country travel with some of the Sisterhood.  I’m crazy like that.

Guess where I’m headed next.
