We jetted off to Coron!

(Please note that all of the photos for the next few posts are taken by me and my brother Ted.  Anyone who would like to use these photos, please shoot an email to let us know where you’ll be using them.  Courtesy please.  Thanks! *grin*)

I booked us five a flight to Busuanga when Philippine Airlines had this 70% off promo in celebration of their anniversary.  It was March and it was cheap and I chose to jet off with my family — all five of us — for four days!  I know right!

I do not remember the last time we ever went a trip on our own.  So come morning of July 14, after attending the early morning mass, we had Tito Romy bring us to the airport and we loaded all our bags (one for each, attempting to travel light) and prepared for Coron.

*cue music here*

We all forgot to get the DSLR ready, so while waiting for the check in counter to open (because we came in early), Tatay and the brothers started assembling it. Nuninuninu...

ANYONE AT ALL: Make a wild guess where this lady came from. Hahahahahahahahahaha.

Tatay assigned himself as the DSLR guy for the entire trip. He will then proceed to keep bugging me about a polarizer that he was not able to advice me to get before the trip. That's my old man right there!

Choked up

Forgive my Harry Potter madness.  It has been over a decade and I never really thought the goodbye would be so emotional.  I keep looking for Harry Potter quotes, images, how these young actors grew right before our eyes, how I became so attached to the book, the character, the story.

I just now it’ll take another lifetime to have something like this again.  Our generation is so lucky to have witnessed something as magnificent as the magic of Harry Potter.  And Jo Rowling is an amazing writer.  And she made us all young again.

And it’s so hard to say goodbye.

I am both eager to watch the last installment and hesitant to walk in the movie house knowing that it is the last Harry Potter flick I’ll ever see.

Oh, be still my heart.

Wave goodbye, Kai.

When Kimi mentioned that Kai  needs a far cooler weather than Manila weather, I thought she’s investing in air-conditioning.  Hahahaha.  I totally completely blacked out the fact that she can raise Kai in the summer capital of the country.

It’s sad that I was not able to visit as often as I should have.  This kid is going to be Chuchi’s best friend, in spite of the distance.  So in order to strengthen that bond, we squeezed them both in Kai’s crib.

I have to say it is the funnest photo op I’ve had.  Hahahaha.

Chuchi: "Let's hold hands for the photo." Kai: "WHYYYYYY?"

Chuchi: "Smile for the photo." Kai: "I am smiling."

Kai: "You did NOT smile." Chuchi: "I'm smiling NOW."

Chuchi: "There's something on your nail." Kai: "I'm doing VOGUE."

Chuchi: "Let's share a secret." Kai: "I loooooooove secrets."

Chuchi: "I loooove hair." Kai: "I know. I can feel it."

I am sooooo going to miss this pairing. :)

Wave goodbye, Kai!  We are now looking for an excuse to file an emergency LOA to get to Baguio and ride horses with you and pick strawberries and go ukay. :)

Bianca’s second recital with Maylene the dalaga

The title is supposed to be something far wittier than that, but I couldn’t think of anything else!  I see these little girls almost every other weekend but it wasn’t until I saw these photos did I realize how much they’ve grown.

Bianca is enrolled at Lyric Music Studio and she studies the piano.  If I’m not mistaken, this is her second recital.  It was held at the Filipinas Heritage Library along Makati Avenue.  So right after the long workweek, I walked my ass over there to at least catch the tail end of it.

When I got there, Bianca and  Maylene were already doing the art that Marga and I hav perfected:  camwhoring.  Hahahahaha.

I caught her in the middle of a serious instruction: "Ate May take my photo with the guitar! Dali!" Hahahaha. I love my cousins and their jologs moments. :)

The venue was quite cramped to be honest, especially with all the instruments in it (read: grand piano in baby library).

Bianca with her most loyal fans. I believe Lola Mommy is about to spearhead a nationwide fan club for her.

Can you believe how fast time flies?!

Of course, the pro had to show how bathroom photos are taken. Just forgot to wipe the mirror though, so I had an accidental mole on the cheek. Hahahaha.

Filipinas Heritage Library is hidden behind this fantastic landscape. So yes, another photo there too.

Good job, Bianca on your recital!  I am looking forward to hearing your version of Canon in D. :)

Early morning surprise

I came home pretty late last night (more on why later).  I think I came through the door at exactly 12:42 AM today, and it was nice to come in not alone.  Dylan took me home.  I was half-expecting him to spend the night, but he can’t really leave his ladies in QC now can he? :)

So I was hurrying because he had to leave soon.  QC is a long commute from Las Pinas.  I got him his water while he freshened up in the bathroom, and I quickly went in my room to take off my shoes, grab my slippers and tie my hair in a bun.  The house was surprisingly warm in spite of the time.  I noticed this little orange package in the corner, but did not mind it until Dylan left.

I became quite giddy when I took out that package.

When I opened it, I was squealing a little.

By now, I’ve already started my boogie dance.

I know right!  I was just complaining how I never get to run anymore and now, my mother just gave me another reason to!  Apart from health reasons of course. ;p

We gotta break this baby in!!!!

Fantastic way to start a Friday!  After my dose of Chuchi, I am definitely hitting the pavement with these.  :)
