That’ll do, Pig. Indeed, that’ll do.

Came across this line from a friend’s Facebook status, and it kind of summed up everything that we went through in the last 13 months.  According to human resources, in 239 days, we went through 9 comprehensive examinations, 68 subjects, and 4,000 test items.  The moment I heard that, I felt how tired I was… and that I am proud of what I have accomplished.

Thank you goes out to my family, who endured my snobby and snappy attitude.  I was never good in dealing with pressure and I usually manifest the stress to the people who love me most.  Because I’m sure they will always forgive me.

Thank you to my friends, from grade school to college, whom I have all neglected in those 13 months.  Thank you for giving me the space to do what I had to.  Like I said, I will make up for lost time.

Thank you to my late grandfather, because I just love you so much your spirit never left me.

Thank you to my grandmother, because you never stopped praying for me and for my partner.

Thank you, Dylan, for being my rock.  You have always picked me up.  Please don’t stop.

And to the fates that brought me to where I am, I promise to serve my purpose well.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.  I am humbled by this day.  I will forever be humbled by this day.

The crazy that was MOA

The SM Mall of Asia went on a crazy sale over the weekend, with items up to 70% off.  That’s MALL WIDE SALE.  That’s 42 hectares of land, 390,193 sq m of sale goodness, right smack in the end of the longest metropolitan freeway in the country, with an effin’ big globe shining in the middle flashing a bright red arrow yelling SALE!

We managed to drag my father to come with us.  He kind of disapproved how ‘disheveled’ I looked.  He said, I look like I’m lounging around the house.  But do you really have to dress up so much just to go to the mall?  I wore really pretty earrings.

No make up

I love my earrings!

I love my mom for always wanting to shop.  And we even played around in the dressing room.

My mom exhaling

My mom inhaling. She insists she looks better here.

Cannot wait for more sales.  I just love shopping with a budget.  Hahahah!  Toodles!

Hair, there, everywhere!

After the day’s pictorial (yes, there was one at work, just from an ID picture), I started to miss my hair.  I’ve been shifting lengths year after year, and this year, I believe I dislike the fact that my hair is starting to grow slower than it used to.

Here’s a look at my hair through the years.  I know it’s not that interesting, but I really miss my hair.  I wonder which of these styles you think fit me best.

If I'm not mistaken, this was... 2002.

This was at the tail end of my college years, 2003.

Of course by now it has created its own volume, mainly focused around my cheeks.

Dear God.  Please make my hair grow fast again.  Right now, it’s awkward and not-so-pretty.  I promise I won’t curl it.  Thank you.

The day I renewed my NBI Clearance

I made sure I got up early because I needed to pass by my college for my transcript.  Then I sped to Megamall for my NBI clearance renewal.

That satellite office processes faster than the head office, at least that’s how I remembered it.  When Dylan and I had his clearance renewed, it only took at most an hour.  Mine took five.  Five long painful hours.

The NBI satellite office is located at the lower ground floor, Mega Building B, near Luk Yuen restaurant.  The line extended up to the stairs.  Then it went up to the fifth level.  And the line was still long, so from the fifth level, the line stretched descending the stairs from across the hall.

The mall doors opened at 10 in the morning and I was there by 10:05.  I fell in line…. at the lower ground floor…. from the stairs across the hall.

This is the view from the fourth level of the second set of stairs.

Then the line would extend across the hall at the fifth floor.

This is the view from the fifth floor at the original set of stairs. Time to go down. This is hour 3.

Third level. This is hour four.

SM Food Court ad. Quite funny coz the people's table had water/wine goblets. Obviously, they're not dining at SM Food Court.

So to ease the pain from my legs, I decided to comfort myself with Krispy Kreme.  I dragged my mother along with me but she was thinking of something else.

We still bought Krispy Kreme, but she definitely preferred BreadTalk. Hahaha.

I was really trying to enjoy my doughnut break....

... if I wasn't so disturbed by this rude person. He's occupying the best seats in the house and HE DID NOT EVEN ORDER ANYTHING.

I hate this kind of assholes.

Let’s end with a happy note.

One dozen glazed goodness. :)

A funny day at Rodic’s

I introduced Dylan to Rodic’s.  For those who studied at UP, this eatery is a staple. :)  It serves what I believe is the best tapa I’ve ever tasted (or at least, those quickie made ones).  So when Dylan picked me up for breakfast one time, I decided to take him to a Rodic’s branch at the end of Maginhawa.

We formed a habit of drinking Berocca for breakfast (in hopes of creating a stronger immune system).

After having their usual tapsilog (of course, it’s the usual for me since I’ve been having it for almost a year now), Dylan ended up looking like this.

That's one happy face right there. :)

Then we noticed something on the menu.  And we had a hard time stifling our laughter.  We didn’t want to be rude; it was barely 10 in the morning!

I'm sure you'll spot it, just look closer. XD

Ah, it’s the simple joys of life that never fail to make a day better. :)

Thank you for a memorable breakfast.
